As a musician, I pray by playing and singing at the piano. When I compose music,
I move into a sacred space and allow the Spirit of God to move through me. When
“A Course in Miracles” found me, my prayer became filled with mantras and lyrics
taken from this sacred text. These songs came forth in the beginning as an aid for
myself to help me remember my workbook lessons. I sang them to myself in the car,
on the way to work, and in my prayer time at the piano, to help me remember who
I really am. Singing these songs on a daily basis was transforming me immensely,
taking me from a darkened state into a place of peace and light especially if I
sang them in the order in which they were written. As I continued to pray in this
fashion, my inner spiritual life began to transform which reflected in the music
I composed. Toward the end of the album, some of the songs have melodies with only
vowels and spiritual utterings on the name of God, a connection to the Divine beyond
words. Whatever your spiritual path, I hope this music will inspire you to see with
true vision about yourself, those who share your life, and the presence of the Divine.
Peace be with you!
